(hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in connection with the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”).

Article 1: Definition of Personal Information

“Personal Information” refers to “personal information” as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and means information about a living individual that can identify a specific person by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in such information.
It also includes data such as facial images, fingerprints, voiceprints, and insurance policy numbers on health insurance cards that can identify a specific individual on their own (personally identifiable information).

In addition, we may collect transaction records and payment information, including personal information, from our business partners (including information providers, advertisers, advertising distribution partners, and others; hereinafter referred to as “partners”) regarding transactions conducted between users and such partners.

Article 3: Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information

The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:

Article 5: Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

  1. We will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the cases listed below.However, this does not apply in cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws and regulations.
  1. When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
  2. When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
  3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government organization, or a party entrusted by such an organization, in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the person’s consent may impede the execution of those duties
  4. When the following items have been announced or publicly disclosed in advance, and the Company has submitted a notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
    • That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties
    • The items of data to be provided to third parties
    • The means or method of providing the information to third parties
    • That the Company will stop providing personal information to third parties upon the individual’s request
    • The method for receiving such requests from the individual
  • Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases shall not be regarded as provision of personal information to third parties.
  1. When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
  2. When personal information is provided as part of a business succession due to a merger or other reasons.
  3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, and the individual is notified in advance or the information is made readily accessible to the individual regarding the fact of joint use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of the parties jointly using the information, the purpose of use by those parties, and the name or title of the person responsible for managing the personal information.

Article 6: Disclosure of Personal Information

  • When a request for disclosure of personal information is made by the individual, the Company shall disclose such information to the individual without delay.
    However, if the disclosure falls under any of the following categories, all or part of the information may not be disclosed, and if a decision is made not to disclose, the individual will be notified of the reason without delay.
    Please note that a handling fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
    • When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party.
    • When there is a risk of significantly hindering the proper execution of the Company’s operations.
    • When disclosure would result in a violation of laws or regulations.
  • Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information—such as history information and characteristic information—will, in principle, not be disclosed.

Article 7: Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

  • If a user believes that their personal information held by the Company is inaccurate, they may request the correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as “Correction, etc.”) of such personal information in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company.
  • If the Company determines that it is necessary to respond to the user’s request as described in the preceding paragraph, it shall make the requested correction, addition, or deletion without delay.
  • If the Company makes a correction, addition, or deletion based on the preceding paragraph, or decides not to do so, it will notify the user of such decision without delay.

Article 8: Suspension of Use of Personal Information

  • If the individual requests the suspension or deletion of the use of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use, etc.") on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purpose of use, or that it was obtained by improper means, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
  • If, based on the results of the investigation described in the preceding paragraph, the Company determines that the request should be honored, it will suspend or delete the use of the relevant personal information without delay.
  • If the Company suspends or deletes the use of personal information based on the preceding paragraph, or decides not to do so, it will notify the user of such decision without delay.
  • Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if the Suspension of Use, etc. would require a large expense or is otherwise difficult to implement, and if alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, the Company shall take such alternative measures.

Article 9: Changes to the Privacy Policy

  • The contents of this Policy may be changed without prior notice to users, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or in this Policy itself.
  • Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
